JANUARY TOURNAMENT RESULTS:

Sunday Couples - January 1



Rich & Kay Streckfuss kicked the New Year off right, as they
captured the first event of 2012― the January Sunday Couples. They combined for a 148 total in the Partners Combined Net to win by a whopping 13 shots over the teams of Ken & Peggy Kosik and Lynn McClung & Thelma Ozburn, who posted matching 161’s. The New Year’s Party must have gotten the best of everyone, as only five couples turned out for the first event of the year.


Men’s Thursday Team Play
The Thursday squad, headed up by Lynn McClung and Ted
Harrison, are off to a 0-1 start as they dropped their opener 18-30 at Apple Valley. In week #2 the squad drew a bye and then they hosted Arrowhead CC on January 26. The team
battled hard and won a decisive 33-15 victory. The re-match at Arrowhead is on Thursday, February 9th.

Next Home Match: Thursday, February 2 vs Apple Valley - 36 players - 10:00 a.m. shotgun



Men’s Saturday Team Play
The Saturday squad, led by Captains David Vorse and Bill Reagan, has their team at 1-1 after the opening two matches of the season. The team split a decision with Apple Valley (winning 40-8 at home vs Apple Valley, then lost a narrow decision 20-28 at Apple Valley the following week). The match at Apple Valley was played in
extremely windy conditions. The team then hosted Muroc Lake on January 28. Results were not available at press time.

Next Home Match: Saturday, February 11 vs Silver Lakes - 36 players - 10:00 a.m.

Outside Tournaments
 Crystalaire has limited days for outside events. Most of our outside play comes from small business or departments looking for a golfing facility that is a challenging and a rewarding experience for customers and co-workers. Call our Professional for additional information.

Childrens Hospital
Crystalaire is the home of a few select fund raising tournaments such as the Antelope Valley Guild of Children's Hospital Tournament held each October,(Scramble or Individual). An outstanding tournament that the public is invited to play.
