Tin City vs PlastervillE - August 7

The Plasterville squad, led by Captain George Flynn, got back on the winning track, as they pulled out a 25-23 victory over the Tin City team. That puts the Plasterville team up 3 matches to 2 in this annual battle. Sixteen players on each squad played in this Match Play format, with each 2-player match worth two points and a halved match worth one point. Each team match was worth two points. The teams of Gary Little / Dick Crouch and Alan Strech / Jay Lockwood picked up the maximum 6 points for the Plasterville squad, while Pete Markese / Don Anton and Hal Hogan / Dick Spake did likewise for Tin City. The Tin City squad was led by Pete Markese, who is already making plans for next year’s re-match.

Jim Camaione defeated Larry Hackney to win his 13th Crystalaire Men’s Crown and will now represent Crystalaire in the SCGA Tournament of Club Champions on December 6 at the Hacienda Golf Club.
